With their adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Mist” just weeks away, TWC/Dimension is developing a TV reboot of Frank Miller’s iconic comic series “Sin City”, Deadline is reporting.

This one will hew closely to the graphic novels, says the site, with a fresh take by writer Glen Mazzara, the showrunner whose resume includes “The Shield”, “The Walking Dead” and the truly awful “Damien”.

Underworld helmer Len Wiseman, whose TV credits include “Sleepy Hollow” and “Lucifer”, will direct. Stephen L’Heureux (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For), will oversee this and produce with Miller, Mazzara, Wiseman and Bob & Harvey Weinstein.

The good news is that the intention it is to be a far departure from the films, introducing original characters and timelines within the “Sin City” universe. As much as the first film was a breakthrough of sorts, that visual style of storytelling has become dated. A fresh start is exactly what this phenomenal Miller series needs.

Ich brauch das jetzt nicht zwingend.
Der zweite Film war ja noch ganz unterhaltsam, aber das Thema nutzt sich leider etwas ab.

Hab bisher nicht mal den zweiten Film gesehen und bin mir unsicher, ob das in Serie besonders gut werden könnte.

Man muss es ja nicht Sin City Style machen.....als Banshee Style könnte es sehr gut funktionieren.

Bin ja grosser Sin City Fan, aber das lag u.A. auch an dem Cast vom ersten Film. Deswegen bin ich grad mehr als skeptisch...
