Mittwoch spielen Atomic Bitchwax + 1000 Mods in Bielefeld.
Erstere waren letztes Jahr auf dem Void Fest ein bisschen enttäuschend, aber ich glaub bei ner Clubshow kommen die besser.
Vor über 10 Jahren fand ich die live mal richtig geil. 15 EUR und am nächsten Tag frei sprechen dafür. Ich werd wohl alleine los müssen, aber Böcke hab ich trotzdem.

Das Projekt

Nachdem unser letztes full-length Album «Rituals» von nur positiven Reviews überhäuft wurde gingen wir shEver mit neuem Lineup ins Studio um unser drittes full-length Album aufzunehmen. Das Vinyl Album enthält 4 Songs in der bekannten Doom/Sludge Manier und ist über 40 Minuten lang! Doom at its best!

Auf der CD und digitalen Version haben wir euch den Bonus Track «Path of Death» hinzugepackt, den wir bereits als Vinyl Split Release mit Spancer veröffentlicht haben.

Die Platte wird als «limited edition» von 500 Stück handnummeriert in clear white 180g Vinyl, als CD im Kartonschuber und als digitaler Download erhältlich sein.

Ein Teil der Studiokosten haben wir bereits bezahlt. Da wir aber noch den Rest bezahlen müssen und ebenfalls die Scheibe gerne so rasch als möglich in die Produktion resp. in das Presswerk geben wollen, brauchen wir eure finanzielle Unterstützung.

Dark Buddha Rising Announce September Album Release Date and Reveal Artwork and Track Listing
Psychedelic doom purveyors, Dark Buddha Rising, will be releasing their fifth studio album, Inversum, on September 25th, their first release on Neurot Recordings.

The album follows their 2014 European tour with Mr. Peter Hayden, with the Finnish black psychedelic doom 6-piece deservedly garnering further recognition as masters of the art of the hypnotic and dark sonics, which they have been honing for the past 8 years since their inception.

Inversum swallows the listener into an introspective realm of dark psychedelia, menacing mysticism and weighty, trudging riffs. Dark Buddha Rising have this to say about the album:


    "Inversum is the opening of the Third Cycle of Dark Buddha Rising. It acts as an initiation for the new members V. Vatanen (guitar, vocals), J. Saarivuori (keyboards) and M. Neuman (vocals), also it is the first release through Neurot Recordings. Most of all, Inversum is the first album that is recorded, produced and mixed by ourselves in the depths of the Wastement, the asylum of eternal feedback...


    ...The process that led to the manifestation of the Inversum, was heavily guided by both intuition and determination, in order to take the musick even further down the path we have chosen. Inversum is a monument built upon the foundation of our work and sculpted with the initial principles of Dark Buddha Rising, to celebrate the Black Arts of Psychedelia."

Die CD habe vorgestern auf dem Free&Easy mit Agalloch und Crown mitgenommen. Crown haben die CD zusammen mit ihrem Merch verkauft, vielleicht sind beide Bands befreundet, oder Labelkollegen... wieso auch immer.  von den Bands die gespielt haben hab ich nix mitgenommen, außer einem T-Shirt, so mega waren die nicht da habe ich wiederstehen können. Musikalisch häten mir Zatokrev vielleicht auch noch viel besser gefallen, wer weiß...

Namentlich ist mir die Band ja schon länger ein Begriff, ich bin nur bisher nicht dazu gekommen mich näher damit zu beschäfigen. Heute Nacht, ganz frisch und aktuell, hab ich das nun endlich nachgeholt, und ich muß sagen... es war allehöchste Ueotz ! Die Musik gefällt mir richtig gut!, tolle Band! Es ist zwar nicht alles auf dem selben Niveau, ok... aber einiges gefällt mir richtig gut!! Daher möchte ich euch hiermit die Band empfehlen, hört euch mal was an !

Das klingt aber schwer vielversprechend, ist Doom, wie er heute oft gespielt wird, die Mucke hat definitiv was.

Im Tampere/Finnland sind die folgenden Herrschaften ohne kompletten Vornamen zuhause: V. Ajomo, V. Vatanen, P. Rämänen, J. Rämänen, J. Saarivuori und M. Neuman. Gemeinsam zelebrieren sie nach eigenem Bekunden „die schwarze Kunst des Psychedelic“ und dies tun sie unter dem Namen DARK BUDDHA RISING. Bereits seit 2007 gibt es die Stoner-/Doom-/Drone-Kapelle, die mit „Inversum“ ihr sechstes Album veröffentlicht. Gleichzeitig ist es die erste Platte, die beim NEUROSIS-Label Neurot Recordings erscheint und die musikalische Einführung der neuen Band-Mitglieder Vatanen (Gitarre & Gesang), Saarivuori (Keys) und Neuman (Gesang). Da wächst zusammen, was zusammen gehört: Die Finnen Dark Buddha Rising sind mit ihrer sechsten Platte bei Neurot Recordings gelandet. Musikalisch passt dies ganz hervorragend. Denn stilistisch hat man sich ein schnuckeliges Plätzchen zwischen den Labelkollengen Neurosis und Ufomammut gesucht. Derbster, psychedelischer Doom steht hier auf dem Programm, der mit Bedacht in die dunkelsten Tiefen abtaucht und den Hörer so manchen Albtraum durchleben lässt.....
