Jason Voorhees bekommt eine TV-Serie

Offensichtlich haben Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films und Crystal Lake Entertainment einen Deal abgeschlossen und werden gemeinsam eine TV-Serie produzieren, die auf den Charakteren aus FREITAG, DER 13. (FRIDAY THE 13TH) basiert. Das Ganze soll demnach keine Neuauflage von FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE SERIES aus den späten 80er-Jahren werden.
Die Serie soll Jason Voorhees offenbar in mehreren Zeit-Perioden zeigen und auch Sean S. Cunningham, Regisseur des Originals, wird als Executive Producer mit an Bord sein. ‘Friday the 13th’ To Become TV Series!

Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films and Crystal Lake Entertainment have announced that they will produce an hour long dramatic television series about the characters from ‘Friday the 13th’.

It focuses mainly on the story behind the first film.

“The seriesis contemporary, focusing on the eclectic characters of Crystal Lake who are forced to confront the return of the killer, as new secrets about his wacky family are revealed.”

Sean S. Cunningham, the writer and director of the 1980 original, will be executive producer.He had this tosayaboutthe upcomingseries:

“Jason Voorhees is synonymous with the genre and we plan to build on this legacy with a provocative and compellingtakethatexpands upon the storylines that have already thrilled millions worldwide.”

Robert Barsamian, producer of the films, will also co-produce the series. He is optimistic about the show bringing in a new audience:

“Expect the show to take viewers in some exciting new directions that we’re confident will not only excite existing fans of Friday The 13th but alsoattractnew audiences to the situations and characters that inhabit the small town of Crystal Lake.”

Hmmm, das wäre ein geiler Plot: Freddy ist in Wirklichkeit der uneheliche Sohn von 50 Cent, deshalb trägt er die Makse

Äh naja, HI funzte auch nur, weil man nicht wusste wer uns nun den Wakefield macht mit Jason wärs eher unlustig

Klar, weil die letzten Jason-Filme ja das Spannungsbarometer derart in die Höhe trieben, dass man es kaum aushalten konnte.

Das behauptete ja keiner allerdings hatte man ja immerhin mal Neues eingestreut mit der Körperwechselei in Teil 9, das Treffen mit Freddy in "Teil 11" und dann auch noch der olle Hockeyspieler im All! Allen Unkenrufen zum Trotz fand ich auch das Remake ziemlich unterhaltsam. In Serie funzt Jason also schon, da brauchts nix im TV
