First Look at the Awesome Practical Monster from Aussie Flick ‘Boar’Giant monster pig on a rampage. Sign us right the hell up.Recently picked up for distribution by Universal Pictures Australia, director Chris Sun’s Boar should be getting a release date any day now; in the meantime, we wanted to share some first look photos of the insanely cool looking beast at the center of it.According to Sun, the giant boar will be brought to the screen using “80-85% practical FX and 15-20% VFX,” with the practical version of the monster measuring an incredible 14-feet long and 8-feet tall. CGI is only being utilized to “help him move and look as realistic as possible.”Sun explains further, “When designing the beast for Boar I wanted to make him look as evil as possible, still have some normal wild pig elements to him – but lets be honest this is MOVIE LAND and we are making a horror film about a giant killer pig, so it was important we made him look terrifying for you creature feature fans out there.”Check out an early look at Boar‘s hulking beast below!Set in outback Australia…Lurking within this picturesque setting is a dark and terrifying threat – a beast of staggering size with an uncontrollable desire for blood and destruction.
