SyFy plant tatsächlich eine Serie mit den Raketenwürmern. Sie soll 25 Jahre nach dem ersten Film spielen, und Kevin Bacon soll zurückkehren als Valentine McKee.

News for fans of the cult franchise Tremors. Variety reported last night that SyFy has picked up the pilot for potential to make a new series. They will produce with Universal Cable Productions and Blumhouse Television.
 
But the best news is that Kevin Bacon will return to reprise his role from the first film, Valentine McKee. Bacon only ever starred in the first film and did not return for the handful of sequels and straight to video chapters. He would serve as an executive producer in the event that it goes to series.
 
The TV series would pick up 25 years after the original film left off. The killer Graboid worms that nearly destroyed the small town of Perfection, Nevada 25 years ago are back and the town’s only hope for survival is Valentine McKee (Bacon) who beat them once, but to do it again, he’ll have to overcome age, alcohol and a delusional hero complex. The movie revolved around natives of a the town who have to defend themselves against strange underground creatures that are killing them one by one.
 
“This is the only character I’ve played that I’ve ever thought about revisiting,” Bacon said. “I just got to thinking, where would this guy end up after 25 years? Andrew Miller has a fantastic take on it and we hope to create a show that will be fun and scary for fans of the movie and folks that have yet to discover it. Let’s kick some Graboid ass!”

Finde ich schon nicht uncool, auch wenn ich mir das nicht so ganz vorstellen kann, dass man den Zuschauer so lange an das Thema hält. Vermutlich wirds dann in die Richtung iZombie gehen und Zombies gegen Raketenwürmer tauscht... Mmh naja, scheint ja eh gerade "in" zu sein aus kleinen Kult-Sendungen/Filmen eine neue Serie zu gestalten.

Nemesis: Die Serie gabs doch schon ne ganze Weile ( auf englisch) ???! Gesehn hab ich sie allerdings nicht, aber mal was drüber gelesen. Oder verwechsel ich da was?

Da gab es tatsächlich 2003 eine Serie mit 13 Folgen, die an Film Nr. 3 anknüpft.

Ich liebe ja Teil 1 noch immer. Die Fortsetzungen war durchwachsen, aber noch ok.

k.A. ob das als Serie funktioniert und ob es was für mich ist weil ich ja kein wirklicher Syfy-Fan bin. Aber dass Bacon mitmacht, finde ich schon cool.

Ich hab den letzten Teil mal letztes Jahr gesehen. Hhhmmmm... ja die wurden eigentlich immer schwächer. teil 1 und 2 waren richtig gut. Teil 3 ging auch noch, aber danach wurden die immer seichter. Von der Serie hab ich irgendwann mal was in der Moviestar gelesen. Aber ob die was taugt, oder tauegn wird....???
