Anbei erste Infos zu den ersten A/V-Receivern, welche die neuen HD-Tonformate unterstützen. Es ist allgemein zu beobachten, dass der Trend im A/V-Receiver-Bereich zu einer All-In-One-Lösung geht. Wenn die Scaler und anderen Bauteile die Versprechen der Hersteller halten, kommt ein wirklich HEIßER Sommer auf alle Heimkino-Enthusiasten zu.

Silicon Optix announced today that Onkyo has significantly raised the bar for video performance in A/V receivers with the addition of the Reon-VX HQV video processor in two of their models. Onkyo’s TX-SR875 has a MRSP of $1,699 and will ship in June, while Onkyo’s TX-NR905 has a MRSP of $2,099 and will ship in August.

At a press conference held here today in advance of its Spring 2007 Rep Show, Onkyo USA has introduced a broad line-up of market-leading audio-video products, including several with advanced audio, video, and control technologies not previously available to consumers. Many other advanced features previously found only on high-end models are now available at much lower price points.

The core of the line consists of seven new A/V receivers and three packaged HTiB (home theater in a box) systems including one with HDMI switching. These will provide consumers at all price points with home theater capabilities and performance that is superior to the products of Onkyo's marketplace competitors.

Onkyo's new line includes the world's first AV receivers to employ Silicon Optix's Reon-VX HQV 1080p video-processing chip as well as the first with Neural-THX Surround processing. Other new features include HDMI version 1.3a, XM and Sirius Satellite radio capability, HD Digital Radio capability, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio, and Microsoft PlaysForSure compatibility. This line also includes models with improved amplifier technology, bi-wire capability, Ethernet and USB connectivity, Audyssey automatic room calibration, and RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI) capabilities.

HQV’s true 1080i-to-1080p HD deinterlacing delivers the sharpest, most detailed HD images possible by employing per-pixel motion-adaptive algorithms and a sophisticated multidirectional diagonal filter that ensures video free from jagged edges. The powerful HQV processing engine also provides per-pixel motion-adaptive noise reduction, detail enhancement, and advanced scaling, delivering premium-quality upconversion of SD material.

The company has recently begun shipping two of the entry-level AV receivers and all three new HTiB systems. In May it will deliver the mid-price TX-SR605, a standout model both in terms of features and value. UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ (4/24/07) -- Onkyo has introduced the TX-SR605 A/V receiver, adding processing for the latest lossless multichannel audio formats, comprehensive video upconversion to HDMI, and compatibility with both XM and Sirius satellite radio programming to the impressive features of the TX-SR604 it replaces. The new model also features Onkyo's new HDMI-based system control capability, 7 x 90 watts of power, enhanced compatibility with the company's optional iPod control docks, and a flexible suite of multi-source/multi-zone capabilities.

The TX-SR605’s two HDMI v1.3a inputs provide the most advanced interface for transporting both uncompressed high definition (HD) video and uncompressed multi-channel audio in all HD formats including 720p, 1080i and 1080p. It is among the first receivers available to include decoding for Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master multichannel audio formats from Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players.

The TX-SR605 is Onkyo's first A/V receiver to include the company's RIHD (Remote Interactive over HDMI) communication protocol. This feature allows for automatic integration of many system control functions between compatible components via the HDMI connection. Common functions include one-button system on/standby control, volume control punch-through from display remote control to the A/V receiver, and a 'direct change' function to automatically select the correct receiver input and begin playback for RIHD source components.

In addition to its two HDMI inputs, the Onkyo TX-SR605 includes three component video, five S-Video, and five composite video inputs to accommodate other sources. There is upconversion of all composite and S-video inputs to both HDMI and HD-quality component video to eliminate the need for multiple redundant video connections to modern video displays. For displays that are not compatible with 480i video, the receiver also provides Faroudja DCDi de-interlacing circuitry to convert 480i signals to progressive scan. There are a total of five digital audio inputs, as well as five A/V and two audio-only analog inputs. Front panel A/V inputs, including optical digital jack, allow easy connection of A/V or audio devices such as a camcorder or portable mp3 player.

The TX-SR605 includes the Audyssey 2EQ automatic speaker calibration feature that provides remarkable improvements in performance by calibrating the home theater system to its acoustical environment. With this system, the included calibration microphone is used to analyze the system's acoustical output at two unique positions in the listening area. By taking readings in two different positions in the theater room, with the included microphone in the listening position, the receiver sends test signals to each speaker in turn, then uses the input from the microphone to adjust channel level and time delay settings for each speaker.

The Onkyo TX-SR605 makes it easier than ever to bring Satellite radio into the living room, featuring compatibility with both XM and Sirius satellite radio programming. The addition of an optional tuner system for either network enables consumers to subscribe to and receive hundreds of channels of commercial-free music, news, talk, and entertainment programming. The receiver even includes onboard Neural Surround processing for reception of multichannel XM HD surround programming. Finally, there is also a high quality terrestrial radio tuner, and the TX-SR605 features 40 presets for AM, FM, XM, or Sirius stations.

Onkyo has also designed the receiver to take complete advantage of the company's optional Remote Interactive iPod dock/charger units. With the iPod placed in the dock, it becomes a source component for not only audio playback, but also for photography stored in iPod photo units. Basic iPod controls such as play, pause, stop, skip, and random / repeat functions can all be operated via the TX-SR605's preprogrammed learning remote control.

The TX-SR605 amplification modules benefit from Onkyo's exclusive WRAT (Wide Range Amplifier Technology) and Optimum Gain Volume Circuitry, delivering 90 watts per channels into 8 ohm loads. There are sturdy five-way binding posts for all seven full-range channels, and the rear surround channels can also be employed to provide a second set of Front L/R channels for speaker bi-amplification.

The TX-SR605 also features Onkyo's Powered Zone 2 capability, which can be used to power stereo speakers in a second room while listening to 5.1-channel sound in the main zone thanks to a dedicated set of zone 2 L/R speaker terminals. The receiver is capable of processing separate multichannel and stereo sources simultaneously for the main and second zone, or processing a single source for both. There is also a zone 2 pre-out that can be used in conjunction with a dedicated zone amplifier or receiver.

The Onkyo TX-SR605 will ship in May in both black and silver finishes, at a suggested retail price of $599.

Was wird das so kosten werden!?

@ Ed: Das HD-Audio-Vergnügen geht wohl ab ca. 600 ¤ los. Mehr dazu siehe unten. Kenne bisher nur die $-Preise von Onkyo. Von den anderen Herstellern habe ich noch nichts gehört was Preise betrifft.

So, hier noch ein paar zusätzliche News zu dem Thema:

Denon hat auch neue Receiver für den Sommer angekündigt. Es wird wohl ein neues Spitzenmodell aufgelegt, vermutlich ein Nachfolger des A1XVA. Aber auch im Bereich vom A11, 4306, 3806 und 2807 sind werden neue Versionen erwartet.

Pioneer stellt Anfang Mai neu A/V-Komponenten vor, zusammen mit mit dem BluRay-Player der zweiten Generation, dem BDP-LX70, zu dem der A/V-Receiver VSX-LX70 passt.

I happened across a german site that had compiled a full list of the 2007 series with detailed features.

It looks like ALL the 2007 Line models are HDMI 1.3a!! (The 505 and 575 which are up on the Onkyo USA website already are Video Pass through only) 605 and up all have Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio Decode!!!! The top of the line Being the NR905>SR875>SR805>SR705>SR605>SR575>SR505. There's just a bit of info I don't have but I'm sure that will filter out soon.

SONY scheint auch noch was in der Pipeline zu haben, hat aber noch nicht konkretes angekündigt bzw. veröffentlicht. Im Januar war auf der CES ein Prototyp auf dem Dolby-Stand zu sehen.

Mmh, nicht ganz billig, aber noch im Rahmen wie ich finde - sicher ne Überlegung wert in einigen Monaten, aber jetzt bin ich ja eh schon versorgt!

Also ich bin froh, dass ich mir noch keinen neuen A/V-Receiver gekauft habe. Habe ja mit dem Gedanken gespielt, mir einen mit HDMI-Sektion zu besorgen. Aber jetzt wird erstmal auf den 805 bzw. 875 von Onkyo gewartet. Mal schauen, wie die sich in Tests schlagen. Aber der Reon-Prozessor im 875er und 8905er hört sich schon verführerisch an.

Ach, und ne neue Onkyo-Preisliste für Germany habe ich auch mal aufgetrieben. Leider steht da noch nichts von dem 905er.

Follow Up: Denon’s HDMI 1.3 Receivers

Back in November Audio DesignLine unveiled some of the first details surrounding (pun intended) Denon’s forthcoming A/V receivers with HDMI 1.3 support, we now have a few more tentative details about the new ‘08’ series of receivers from Denon. It appears as if the receivers will be rolled out in two waves, the first wave in July will include the AVR-4308ci and AVR-3808ci with the AVR-1508, AVR-1708 and AVR-2808 following in September.

Again these are tentative details but should remain accurate baring any last minute launch snafus. The AVR-4308ci ($2,499) will sport four HDMI 1.3 inputs with two parallel HDMI outputs, support for internal Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio decoding over HDMI, auto lip-sync correction, 8-position Audyssey MultEQ, Ethernet & Wi-Fi capabilities for internet radio and presumably support for Windows Media PlaysForSure functionality. The 4308 will also support second zone component video output and digital to analog conversion for multi-zone applications.

The AVR-3808ci (also tentatively expected in July) will retail for $1,599 and features four HDMI 1.3 inputs, support for internal Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio decoding over HDMI, auto lip-sync correction, 6-position Audyssey MultEQ, Ethernet connectivity and again presumably support for Windows Media PlaysForSure. The 3808ci also supports digital to analog conversion for multi-zone applications. Both the AVR-4308ci and AVR-3808ci are said to have had their on-screen graphical interfaces redesigned as well.

The second wave of receivers in September will include the AVR-1508, AVR-1708 and AVR-2808 (no pricing as yet). The AVR-1508 AVR-1708 will support HDMI 1.3 but ‘switching mode’ only, in a nutshell that means that they will support HDMI audio, ‘Deep Color’ and 1080p pass-through but not internal Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD processing, although you can still achieve lossless audio from Blu-ray and HD DVD output as PCM from the players over HDMI.

The AVR-2808’s HDMI 1.3 path is said to offer the same functionality as the AVR-4308ci and AVR-3808ci, i.e. internal Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD decoding as well as auto lip-sync correction. Good stuff indeed, I can’t wait to get my hands on the AVR-3808ci.

jetzt muss ich mal dumm fragen, was sind denn die neuen "HD- Tonformate"?

Was soll der quatch?

Sind DD5.1 EX etc nicht mehr gut genug? Brauch ich jetzt bald wieder einen neuen Receiver weil ich mir BLuray nimmer anhören kann mit meiner "alten Gurke"?

Also erstmal sind die neuen Receiver mit HDMI 1.3 etwas zukunftssicherer. Die neuen HD-Audioformate weisen keine oder eine deutlich geringere Kompression auf als die bisherigen. Interessant an den neuen Formaten ist, dass sie zum Teil eine Erweiterung zu bestehenden Ton-Formaten darstellen. Wenn ein Receiver das ERWEITERTE Format nicht versteht, dann arbeitet er nur mit den Daten des Standart-Formats. Hinzu kommt, dass sogar Dolby Digital Plus deutlich mehr "Informationen" dank höherer Bitrate bietet als das bisher beste Dolby-Format. Auch stehen auf den HD-Scheiben mehr Infos bei den Standart-Ton-Formaten zur Verfügung.

ok, dann bin ich beruhigt.

Mir ist das im Prinzip nämlich ziemlcih egal da das menschliche Gehör so einen Unterschie eh kaum noch wahrnehmen kann und ich soundtechnisch absolut zufrieden bin. Im Bildbereich macht HD Sinn, im Audiobereich meiner Meinung nach nicht.

Hier mal ein paar deutschsprachige Infos zu den neuen Geräten von Pioneer:

Pioneer VSX-LX50

Pioneer hat seinen ersten AV-Receiver mit HDMI 1.3-Schnittstelle und Unterstützung für die neuen Audio-Codecs DTS HD Master Audio und Dolby True HD angekündigt. Der 1080p-taugliche VSX-LX50 soll bereits ab Juli im Handel erhältlich sein. Der THX Select 2-Receiver verfügt über zwei HDMI-Eingänge und einen HDMI-Ausgang. Weiterhin sind drei YUV-Eingänge vorhanden. HDMI Control ermöglicht die Steuerung verschiedener Geräte über nur eine Fernbedienung. Die Maximal-Ausgangsleistung wird mit 7 x 150 Watt angegeben. Die USB-Schnittstelle auf der Frontseite ermöglicht den Anschluss von USB-Sticks. Weiterhin ist eine Docking Station-Schnittstelle für den iPod vorhanden. Das MCACC-Einmess-System verfügt über einen 9 Band-Equalizer.



Neben dem VSX-LX50 soll es auch einen VSX-LX60 und einen VSX-LX70 geben, der mit gleich vier HDMI-Eingängen ausgestattet ist und über einen Netzwerkanschluss verfügt. Über diesen kann man z.B. Internet-Radio hören oder Musik von DLNA-zertifizierten UnPnP-Mediaservern hören. Die genauen Spezifikationen zu diesen beiden Modellen liegen noch nicht vor.

Ich habe hier noch mal ein Bild von GROßEN Pioneer SC-LX 90. Das Ding sieht sehr geil aus und scheint ein richtiger Brocken zu werden. Genaue Details über Ausstattungs- und Leistungsmerkmale sind noch nicht bekannt, er soll wohl das aktuelle Top-Modell anfang 2008 von Pioneer ablösen.

Darf ich vorstellen? DER Player von Pioneer, der BDP-LX 90!!! Passend zum SC-LX 90 in einem mega-geilen Design gehalten und allein das Display ist auf Weltklasseniveau.



Preis und Produktdetails konnte ich BISHER noch nicht auftreiben. Wird aber bestimmt über 2500 ¤ liegen. Der SC-LX 90 soll ja bei ca. 7000 - 7500 ¤ liegen.

Hier man ein paar Andeutungen zu den neuen DENON-Modellen:

...Here's a BIG bone. First, with the models. The next CI series from Denon will incorperate the 2308, 2808, 3808, 4308 and 5308 models. The 4806CI has been replaced with the 5308CI and the 5805MKIICI has been replaced with a preamp model AVP-A1HDCI and a power amp to be named later. With the exception of the separates, we should be seeing these models by August. Power output goes from 100-150wpc and weight hasnt changed much, so Denon must think they have a good handle on the power aspect, also. All except the 2308CI will incorperate loseless audio decoding in the amp via HDMI. All versions will have the other benefits of HDMI v.1.3 but the 2308 will not have the auto lip sync. All will have 6 or 8 position Audyssey Cal System and the 3808 and above will have Audyssey PRO which will calibrate up to 32 acoustic postions and HAS to be done by a Denon certified installer in your area. They have a compressed audio restorer which is supposed to make music on your iPod sound a lot better. By the way, for you iPod fanatics, the Denon dock goes wireless with these. 1080P scaling in ALL of them, lower 4 from Faroudja and 5308 from Silicon Optix. New graphic user interfaces on upper 3. Zur Erläuterung: Alle Modelle über dem 4306 bzw. 4308 heißen in Deutschland A-Serie, also der A1 oder A11.

Das die neuen teuren Modelle A11 und höher (in Quote heißt er 5308) erst Silicon Optics Chips (Reon bzw. Realta) haben ist FÜR MICH ein deutlicher Nachteil zu den Onkyos 875 bzw. 905. Die Sillicon Optics Chips sind Weltklasse-Bildskalierer und -Bildbearbeiter.

SO!!! Dankd er gerade in München stattfindenden HighEnd kann ich euch erste Bilder und Infos zu den neuen DENON AV-Receivern beiten.

Denon AVP-A1HD



Den Anfang macht die 7.000 ¤ kostende THX Ultra 2-Surround-Vorstufe AVP-A1HD, die bezüglich ihrer Ausstattung international neue Maßstäbe für Mehrkanal-Vorstufen setzen dürfte. Mit eingebauten Decodern für Dolby True HD und DTS-HD Master Audio ist die im neuen, sehr attraktiven Design antretende Vorstufe auch fürs gerade anbrechende HD-Zeitalter bestens gerüstet. Denon hat das Vorzeige-Modell selbstverständlich mit Anschlussterminals des aktuellsten HDMI-Standards 1.3a (unter anderem mit Support von “Deep Colour” und xvYCC) ausgestattet, auch eine Auto Lyp Sync Funktion ist integriert.  

Für bestmögliche Signalqualität sorgt der Dynamic Discrete Surround Circuit - Digital HD (D.D.S.C.-Digital HD). Für alle Kanäle steht Denons Advanced AL24 Processing zur Erhöhung von Samplingfrequenz und Bittiefe zur Verfügung. Drei 32-Bit-Fließkomma-DSPs sorgen für eine enorme Rechen-Power. Videoseitig trumpft die AVP-A1HD mit einem hochwertigen De-Interlacer auf, mit an Bord ist auch eine bewegungsadaptiv arbeitende Rauschunterdrückung. Natürlich ist auch ein hochmoderner Videoscaler mit an Bord, der bis auf die aktuell höchste Auflösung von 1.920 x 1.080p hochrechnen kann.  

Immense Anschlussvielfalt



Da Denons neue Vorstufe als Paradebeispiel für modernste AV- und Multimedia-Flexibilität dienen soll, integrierten die Japaner auch sämtliche heute üblichen Netzwerk-Funktionalitäten: Die AVP-A1HD agiert als Music Client und ist in der Lage, AAC/MP3/WAV/WMA lossless-Files wiederzugeben. Auch jpeg-Dateien vom PC können weiterverarbeitet werden. Auch für die Internet Radio-Wiedergabe ist Denons Vorstufe gerüstet. Gleich zwei HDMI-Ausgänge, auf denen parallel ein Signal ausgegeben kann, zeugen ebenfalls von Denons Bestreben, “Best oft Best” zu sein. Ein USB-Port auf der Gerätevorder- und der Geräterückseite (einer jeweils nutzbar, nicht beide parallel) ergänzt die außergewöhnlich reichhaltigen Verbindungsmöglichkeiten. Selbstverständlich kann die AVP-A1HD auch in Verbindung mit Denons iPod-Dock ASD-1R, welches separat verkauft wird, betrieben werden.

Unterstützt werden auch Denon-eigene 2-Wege (bidirektionale Kommunikation) Fernbedienungseinheiten. Für die Zone 2 Unterstützung ist auch ein optischer Digitalausgang vorhanden.

Im Brennpunkt der Entwicklung stand aber nicht ausschließlich ein Ausstattungsumfang, der an Opulenz schwerlich zu überbieten sein dürfte, sondern auch eine einfache, komfortable Handhabung des extensiven Funktionsumfangs. Daher schufen die Denon-Experten ein komplett neues, grafisch hochwertiges Benutzer-Interface - vorbei sind die Zeiten einer grafischen Präsentation der On Screen Menüs, die an alte Commodore 64-Zeiten erinnerte. Nun hat Denon, wir konnten uns “live” davon überzeugen, eine nahezu optimale Kombination aus schöner Darstellung und komfortabler Bedienung geschaffen.  

Die 10-Kanal-Endstufe POA-A1HD





Der passende Spielpartner zur Vorstufe ist die zweite Neuheit im Denon-Programm. Eine für 7.000 ¤ angebotene THX Ultra 2-zertifizierte 10-Kanal-Endstufe mit 150 Watt/Kanal/8 Ohm. Jeder der Kanäle ist für sich betrachtet eine unabhängige Monoblock-Konstruktion. Die Endstufe kann auch gebrückt werden, so dass eine besonders leistungsstarke Fünfkanal-Endstufe mit 5 x 500 Watt an 4 Ohm entsteht. Große VU-Meter auf der Vorderfront der massiv verarbeiteten POA-A1HD unterrichten den Anwender über die aktuellen Kräfteverhältnisse.

Der AVR-4308



Dritte Denon-Neuheit, die auch für den finanziell eher normal orientierten Anwender von größtem Interesse sein dürfte, ist der 2.500 ¤ kostende AVR-4308 als Nachfolger des AVR-4306. Auch hier ist die Ausstattungsliste enorm lang: Decoder für Dolby True HD und DTS-HD sind ebenso mit an Bord wie HDMI 1.3a-Schnittstellen und eine Auto Lip Sync-Funktion (HDMI 1.3a). Mit 7 x 170 Watt (6 Ohm) werden üppige Leistungsreserven geboten.  

 

Im Lieferumfang befindet sich eine Hauptfernbedienung (links) und eine Kontrolleinheit speziell für die 2. Hörzone (rechts)



Die neu entwickelte diskrete Digitalschaltung (D.D.S.C.-Digital HD) garantiert eine hervorragende Signalqualität. Selbstverständlich ist auch ein hochmodernes Lautsprecher-Einmess- und Equalizingsystem (Audyssey MultEQ XT) mit in der Feature-Liste. Denons Advanced AL24 Multichannel für eine Verbesserung der Klangqualität vieler Quellen ist ein weiteres akustisches Leistungsmerkmal des AVR-4308. Für komprimierte Quellen (z.B. MP3-Material) steht der "Audio Restorer" zur Disposition, der eine ausgezeichnete Klangqualität auch bei datenreduziertem Material sorgt. Zwei leistungsfähige Fließkomma 32-Bit DSPs sichern genug Rechenreserven. Integriert ist auch ein DAB-Tuner (Band III und L-Band).  

 

Attraktives Graphical User Interface

Videoseitig ist der Ausstattungsumfang enorm groß. Eine Faroudja De-Interlacing- und Scaling-Lösung (bis auf 1.080p) und vier HDMI 1.3a-Eingänge sowie zwei HDMI-Ausgänge mit Möglichkeit zur simultanen Bildausgabe sorgen für zeitgemäße Qualitäten des AVR-4308 als Videoschaltzentrale.

Ebenfalls vorhanden sind zwei USB-Anschlüsse, einer auf der Vorder- und einer auf der Rückseite des AVR-4308. Musik- oder jpeg-Dateien, die auf externen Festplatten oder USB-Sticks abgelegt sind, können so mittels des AV-Receivers wiedergegeben werden. Integriert hat Denon volle Netzwerkfunktionalitäten. So ist Music-Streaming von kompatiblen Servern (AAC, MP3, WAV, WMA inkl. Lossless, FLAC) ebenso möglich wie jpeg-Streaming. Eine Internet Radio-Funktion mit Unterstützung für MP3- und WMA-Sender ist auch Bestandteil der Ausstattung. Für PC-Liebhaber besonders wichtig dürfte die Web Control-Funktion des AVR-4306 sein. Der AV-Receiver kann damit per Web-Browser komplett gesteuert und konfiguriert werden. Die Modernität von Denons neuester Receiver-Entwicklung zeigt sich auch in einer direkten Integrationsmöglichkeit des 4308 ins W-Lan (kompatibel mit WEP, WPA und WPA2). Für Freude von Apples iPod ist eine volle Steuerungs- und Wiedergabemöglichkeit über Denons optional erhältliches Dock ASD-1R möglich.  

Weiteres Kennzeichen des AVR-4306 ist das intelligente Endstufen-Management zur flexiblen Nutzung der sieben eingebauten Endstufen mit 11 Lautsprecher-Ausgängen (z.B. für 7.1-Mehrkanal und 2-Kanal-Bi-Amping-System). Umfangreiche Multi Zone-Leistungsmerkmale ergänzen die Ausstattungsliste. Für ZONE 4 steht ein optischer Digitalausgang zur Verfügung (Bitstream/Linear PCM). Der AVR-4306 ist kompatibel zur optional erhältlichen bidirektionalen Systemfernbedienung RC-7000CI.

Wie bei der bereits vorgestellten neuen Highend-Vorstufe erhält auch der AVR-4308 ein komplett neues grafischers Benutzer-Interface. Die grafisch sehr attraktiven, mehrsprachigen und hochauflösenden Bildschirmmenüs wirken optisch sehr zeitgemäß und frisch. Neben der bekannten EL-Touchpanel-Fernbedienung liefert Denon noch "serienmäßig" eine zweite Fernbedienung für den ZONE 2-Betrieb.
