Die sieben Decimate oder Hinraffer wie ich sie nennen werde,es gibt noche keine deutsche Übersetzung, sind wirklich solche.
Die Art wie hier Magie eingesetzt wird ist brutal und gnadenlos.
Die verfeindeten Länder setzen ihre Magiere wie Atomwaffen ein. Die normalen Menschen werden verbrannt,erschlagen oder vom Blitz geröstet.
Bifalt und viele Menschen hassen die Magiere,sind aber auf sie angewiesen.
Als Bifalts Magiere ihrer Kraft beraubt werden macht er sich auf in das Archiv, eine legändere Bibliothek in der er sich Hilfe verspricht.
Doch auf seiner Suche erfährt er neue Wahrheiten und eine Bedrohung die so groß ist,dass die Rettung seines Landes nur möglich ist,wenn er sich mit dem Feind zusammenschließt,denn der große Gott hat seine Augen auf Bifalts Kontinent gerichtet und hat seine dämonischen Armeen schon in Bewegung gesetzt.
Keiner schreibt wohl Schlachten und die damit einhergehende Drangsal so wie Donaldson. Was er wieder an Ideen an den Tag legt,und an Spannung erzeugt ist meisterlich.
Das ist kein zweiter Covenant aber im Sinne von guter Fantasy wieder outstanding.
Irgendwie besser und erwachsener wie der Rest im Genre.
