Effektlegende Rick Baker zieht sich aus dem Filmgeschäft zurück.

Zumindest erfreut er sich noch bester Gesundheit. Und er hinterlässt uns Meilensteine der Handwerkskunst, die wir uns immer wieder anschauen können, sei es in American Werewolf, Videodrome oder Michael Jacksons Thriller.

Genieße deinen Ruhestand, Rick. Du hast es dir verdient. Und uns immer wieder zum Staunen gebracht.

Recht hat er! Auch wenn diese Entwicklung zum Kotzen ist, und ich sie nicht nachvollziehen kann. Heute wo die Filme mehr kosten als jemals zuvor, wird kein Budget mehr für handmade eingesetzt... lieber auf oftmals beschissene CGI Kacke. Genieß die Zeit Rick!!!
