SHINING

Am 23. September erscheint “8 ½ - Feberdrömmar I Vaket Tillstånd”, aber natürlich lässt unser Herzchen Kvarforth seine Fans bis dahin nicht auf dem Trockenen sitzen, und so wurde jetzt schon mit 'Selvdestruktivitetens Emissarie' ein erster Song veröffentlicht, zu dem Ihr hier gelangt. Für die Scheibe haben SHINING alte Stücke ausgegraben, sie neu aufbereitet eingespielt und von langjährigen Weggefährten/Freunden der Band einsingen lassen. Für diesen Track schnappte Gaahl sich das Mikro.

SHINING: Drehen Doku, Teaser online



Da wir ja alle wissen, dass Skandalnudel Kvarforth nicht der Schüchternste ist, verwundert es auch nicht wirklich, dass zurzeit eine SHINING-Doku entsteht, für die der schwedische Filmmacher Martin Strandberg die Band u.a. auf ihrer anstehenden Europatour begleiten wird. Die Doku soll die turbulente Geschichte der Band aufarbeiten. Der Regisseur arbeitet bereits seit Jahresanfang an dem Werk, mit einer Veröffentlichung wird derzeit Ende 2014 gerechnet. Kvarforth gibt sich unterdessen unerwartet bescheiden und betont, selbst keinen Einfluss auf die Inhalte der Doku zu haben: "The documentary was entirely the idea of Martin Strandberg, and, other than being interviewed for it ourselves, we have no hand in it at all.  All we know is that family, friends, former band members and who knows who else are contributing, but what they’re contributing we will have to wait to find out along with everyone else”.

Beim zappen durch youtube bin ich mal wieder auf rohe, tiefgefrorene und tiefschwarze Tonkunst aus dem hohen Norden gestolpert:

BLOOD RED FOG aus Finnland, aus welcher Ecke denn sonst ? Die klingen richtig derb und krank und ich befürchte, das die hier deshalb nicht sooo sehr auf Gegenliebe stoßen werden wie ich es mir wünschen würde, aber ich versuchs trotzdem

Ich komme gerade vom Konzert:

Rein musikalisch gefallen mir zwar CULT OF LUNA besser, live sund jedoch GOD SEED deutlich überlegen !! Gaahl hat einfach eine intensive und beeindruckende Bühnenpräsenz, das können ihm nicht viele nachmachen, zumindest nicht auf diesem Niveau. Speziell heute kam noch dazu, das die Leute von Cult of Luna schon rein optisch sehr viel braver aussehen, ein bißchen wie so Studententypen. Das Gaahl die dann ganz locker in dioe Tasche steckt, ist klar... 







was für ein Tier !!

da kommt ein neues Album:


Im finnischen Untergrund treibt sich schon seit 10 Jahren das Projekt BLOOD RED FOG von Mastermind B.R.F. herum. Dieses Jahr erscheint nun via Saturnal Records das dritte Album „On Death’s Wings” und für die Band könnte dies nun einen kleinen Durchbruch darstellen. Nicht nur bietet die Scheibe musikalisch hochwertigen und rohen Black Metal, sondern aufgrund des neuen Labels erhält man auch mehr Promotion und Distribution. Ich habe bei Herrn B.R.F. mal etwas nachgehakt, was er sich von der neuen Situation erhofft und was er über den [finnischen] Untergrund denkt. Und haltet eure Augen und Ohren offen - am 26. Mai erscheint das Album in Europa.
