Info:Sony Picture Classics has debuted the first trailer for Duncan Jones' Moon, the brilliant indie sci-fi film starring Sam Rockwell that first premiered at Sundance earlier this year. This is one of the best trailers I think I've ever seen for an indie. Not only is the big reveal still kept fairly secret (you don't have to worry too much), but they use Clint Mansell's beautiful score, and it's overall a fantastic two minute summation of one of the best films of the year. I gave the film an 8.5 out of 10 at Sundance, saying that it's "by no means a sci-fi epic, but it is gritty, dark, lightly comical, and thoroughly entertaining." Check out the trailer below!
Astronaut Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) has a quintessentially personal encounter toward the end of his three-year stint on the Moon, where he, working alongside his intelligent computer, GERTY, sends back to Earth parcels of Helium 3, a resource that has helped diminish our planet's power problems.Moon is directed by first-time filmmaker Duncan Jones, a former ad exec turned filmmaker of only a sci-fi short from 2000 called Whistle previously. The original story was written by Jones, and the screenplay was written by Nathan Parker. This first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, where it was bought by Sony Pictures Classics.
Moon will arrive in limited theaters starting on June 12th this year. Trailer und Quelle IMDbUff, wo kommt denn der her? Hab ich vor 10. Minuten zum ersten mal was von gehört. Klingt alles verdamt gut und der Trailer sieht SENSATIONELL aus
