Wie gesagt, ich hab den früher echt gemocht. Nettes 80er Horrorfilmchen. Die DVD hab ich mittlerweile auch zu Hause. Schöne kleine Hartbox...ABER...die Qualität ist echt sehr bescheiden. Hab mal kurz reingesehen...VHS-Niveau und das auch eher nur sehr bescheiden. :neutral: Das ist meine erste Scheibe von "Eyecatcher Movies". Hat sonst noch wer was von denen?

Eyecatcher veröffentlicht halt das, was Sie qualitativ an Mastern bekommen.
Ich habe "Blut an den Lippen" - da ist die Quali wirklich sehr gut und "Blutiges Inferno" und hier ist die DVD sicher auch eine VHSrip, bzw.  auf VHS-Niveau.

Wenn ich mir mal so ein Review der US-Scheibe anschaue

Image Transfer Review: It's almost like Columbia TriStar knew this film was a clunker, and likely figured why bother with a widesreen transfer; that just might be construed as putting perfume on a pig. The less than perfect 1.33:1 full-frame transfer is marred by a large amount of dirt and source print flaws, which right off the bat tell me that 976-Evil was not given the royal restoration treatment. The overall transfer renders the image soft and hazy, with a visually nagging amount of fine grain. Fleshtones look a little to red, especially during some of the oddly lit interior shots, where colors occasionally bleed noticeably.

Von "Blutiges Inferno" gibt's auch eine US-Scheibe - ein Review sagt:

Sweet Sixteen's debut on DVD is just as mediocre and disappointing as the film itself. Code Red, the distributing arm of BCI and the Navarre Corporation Company, had planned to make the film one of their first forays in the digital medium, but some major problems arose, beginning with the available source material. For starters, only one print seems to have survived of the director's cut and while the picture and sound quality are seriously flawed, the original version (offered as a mere bonus) is far worse.

Ich würd's also wirklich nicht auf das Label - sondern auf das vorhandene Master - schieben.
