Danach erwähnten sowohl er als auch sein Co-Star Alex Winter immer wieder die Möglichkeit eines dritten Teils und wie es scheint, haben beide nicht zuviel versprochen.Im September 2010 sagte Keanu Reeves noch, er werde versuchen, die beiden Autoren der ersten beiden Filme - Chris Matheson und Ed Solomon - dazu zu bewegen, etwas Passendes zu schreiben. Und tatsächlich ist den Jungs etwas eingefallen: Wie jetzt rauskam, ist das Drehbuch zu Bill & Ted 3 bereits fertig und das weit schneller, als Reeves vor einigen Wochen gehofft hatte. Alex Winter ist derweil schon damit beschäftigt es zu lesen.Wenn die Meldungen aus dem letzten Jahr noch stimmen, ist es Winter und Reeves besonders wichtig, dass Bill & Ted 3 etwas Eigenständiges und Kreatives bietet und dennoch den Charme der Vorgänger versprüht. Dabei will man aber nicht einfach nur auf einer Retro-Welle mitschwimmen oder sich über die Vergangenheit lustig machen.Sollten Reeves und Winter das Drehbuch gut finden, muss sich nur noch ein Studio finden, welches das alles finanziert.

Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, das Reeves sich heute für die Rolle noch "hergibt".
