A TV series adaptation of Clive Barker’s 1987 fantasy/horror “Weaveworld” has been in the works over at CW since September, although not much has been heard since. Today brings some new news, although it’s nothing really concrete as the series needs a new writer to bring it to live, according to Deadline. Barker is still set to act as executive producer.

    The synopsis from September reads:

An app designer teams up with a young pastry chef who has just discovered that destined to be guardian of a mythological realm that can be accessed through a portal in an old Savannah mansion. Together, they fight an epic battle with evil forces who are vying for control of the magical world.

Much of Barker’s works are considered to be extremely difficult to adapt, mainly because of the scope and imaginative vision. However, more and more shows these days are showing that they can tackle those kinds of obstacles, so it’ll be interesting to see how “Weaveworld” looks on the big screen.
