256 MB RAM ist das Maximum was WIn98 noch verkraften kann. Alles was darüber hinausgeht bremst den Rechner ab. Der Win 98 Kernel kann nicht mehr als 256 MB RAm adressieren.
Ich würde bei so einer Grafikkarte auch ersteinmal auf ein neueres OS wechseln.
