Edward Furlong & Frank Langella Star in Cyber Horror Thriller from the Writer of Se7en & Sleepy Hollow New To DVD on April 1

Culver City, CA (January 24, 2003) - Are you ready to play? Take an interactive trip to hell with the horror thriller BRAINSCAN from the disturbing mind of Andrew Kevin Walker, the acclaimed writer of Se7en, Sleepy Hollow and 8MM, premiering on DVD April 1 from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

Talented young actor Edward Furlong (Terminator II, American History X) stars as a lonely teenager who orders the latest interactive video game. The high-tech wizardry penetrates his subconscious, custom-tailoring the game into the most terrifying experience imaginable where his darkest impulses lead him through a deadly maze of murder, deception and desire. When he emerges from the hypnotic trance he is horrified to find evidence that the brutal murder depicted in the game actually happened ? and he's the killer.

Pursued by a homicide detective (Frank Langella - Cutthroat Island, The Ninth Gate) and prodded by the Trickster (T. Ryder Smith), he is torn between the worlds of good and evil, of reality and fantasy and, ultimately, of life and death.
