Nemes & Co. sind nicht
Geschöpfe von de Soya...de Soya gehört bis zum Ende zu den Guten. Sie sind ihm eine Weile unterstellt, aber letztlich Geschöpfe von Albedo und dem Core
.
Eben habe ich diesen unglaublichen, epischen, herzzerreißenden und alles in den Schatten stellenden Megazyklus beendet. Ich hab seit heut morgen um 9 durchgelesen..
Zuerst mal: Unglaublich gut!! Wer bisher nur
Hyperion gelesen hat, der sollte alles stehen und liegen lassen und sich
Endymion besorgen. Es ist tatsächlich wie hier gesagt wurde,
Hyperion ist nur "Vorgeplänkel" für
Endymion. Alles in allem, haben mir die beiden
Endymion-Bände auch besser gefallen. Marco, meintest ja mal, du fändest es so unglaublich, wie Simmons quasi alles neu erfinden konnte. Aber das wird in
Endymion nochmal extremer. Unglaublich! Und alles so perfekt miteinander verwoben und aufeinander abgestimmt, dass mir schon Gedanken an die perfekte
Zurück in die Zukunft-Trilogie in den Sinn kamen.
Sascha, Marco, alle die erst die ersten beiden Bände gelesen haben: andere Bücher verbrennen, Job kündigen, Saga fertig lesen!
Und eine Saga ist es wirklich: Eigentlich eine Mischung aus
Star Wars und
Herr der Ringe. Sie übertrifft aber beide in Sachen Inhalt, Einfallsreichtum, Aussagekraft und epischem Umfang bei weitem!
Der schiere Wahnsinn. Simmons ist ein Genie! Würd jetzt fast auch sagen: Das beste, was ich je gelesen hab. Und
Rise of Endymion das stärkste Band (nach dem ersten
Hyperion). Ich hab sogar Lust bekommen, Poesie von John Keats zu lesen.
Ein paar Feststellungen/Fragen am Ende:
1. a) Counsillor Albedo verkörpert den Teil des Core, der
die Menschheit auslöschen will, richtig? Was in Hyperion als die Fraktion der "Volatiles" bezeichnet wurde, auch wenn er sagt, er gehöre zu den Humanisten. Bzw. jetzt wo ich nochmal drüber nachdenke, müsste er zu den "Ultimates" gehören. Die die UI kreiiren wollten, um die Menschheit zu unterjochen. Richtig? Dazu würde ja auch die Geschichte mit den Kruziformen und dem neuralen Abfang passen.
b) Ist er
am Ende tot (als er mit Aena verbrennt)? Wohl nicht. Denn es heißt ja, der Core habe sich mit einigen Pax-Loyalisten zurückgezogen. Albedo stirbt wohl nicht so leicht!?
2.
Masteen und der Shrike verschwinden doch zusammen mit dem Templar Treeship, bevor Aena, de Soya und Raul sich nach Pacem zum Papst farcasten!?
Und es ist auch die Rede, davon wie zu Zeiten von der Pilgerreise in
Hyperion Masteen stirbt, nachdem sein Schiff, die Yggdrasill oder wie das heißt, zerstört worden ist. Wie kann das sein, die Begebenheiten von der Pilgerreise spielen 300-400 Jahre in der Vergangenheit!?
Aber das sind wohl die komplizierten Zeitabläufe, die man so schwer nachvollziehen kann..
3. a)
Der Shrike. Er hat Aenea die ganze Zeit über beschützt. Wurde er also von den Löwen, Tigern und Bären geschickt? Zu denen gehört ja auch A. Bettik, der Beobachter, wie am Ende rauskommt. Geiler Einfall...Der Shrike ist also letztlich "gut"? (Er hat ja Tausende von Menschen getötet, irgendwie ist das schwer nachzuvollziehen...)
b) Es wird ja gesagt, dass
Colonel Kassads Persönlichkeit genommen wird/wurde, um den Shrike zu schaffen. In einer fernen, fernen Zukunft. Es wurde aber auch gesagt, dass Kassad den Shrike in einer fernen Zukunft besiegt!?
Schnall ich net so ganz..
Jedenfalls hab ich das andere aber so verstanden:
Der Shrike, mit der Persönlichkeit von Kassad, wurde durch die Zeitgräber in die Zeit der Geschehnisse von Hyperion in die Vergangenheit zurückkatapultiert. Später dann in die Vergangenheit, in der Endymion spielt (300 Jahre danach/später).
Richtig?
4. Aenea.
Aenea wurde als Kind von Brawne Lamia geboren, katapultierte sich dann selbst 250 Jahre in die Zukunft, in die Zeit, in der Endymion spielt. Dann gibt es ja diese ca. 2 Jahre, die in der Zeitrechnung fehlen, in der Raul alleine reist. Und wo sie sagt, sie hätte mit einem Mann geschlafen, ein Kind bekommen etc... Es geht alles seinen Weg: Raul überlebt, Aenea stirbt durch die Folter des Kardinals und Albedos. Dann treffen sie sich aber doch wieder. Aenea ist jetzt 3-4 Jahre jünger als vor ihrem Tod.
Sie hat es also geschafft, sich in der Zeit zu versetzen, noch mit Raul zusammen zu sein und ein Kind zu zeugen.
a) Aber:
Das ist Aeneas Zukunft und Rauls Vergangenheit.
Wie kann das sein? Wieder so ein kompliziertes Zeitthema.
b) Sie sagt auch am Ende zu
Raul, sie würden IMMER zusammensein. Sie ist aber schon tot, oder? Ich meine, sie hat lediglich diese knapp 2 Jahre, dann muss sie in dieses Schloss auf Pacem und den Foltertod erleiden!?
Und:
Sie war doch eigentlich tatsächlich tot. Hat sie es geschafft, kurz vorher zu farcasten?
Irgendwie von den Zeitabläufen her sehr kompliziert, erinnert doch deutlich an
Zurück in die Zukunft.
EDIT: Ich war eigentlich die ganze Zeit froh beim Gedanken, endlich mal fertig zu werden. Aber jetzt wo ich fertig bin, bin ich richtig traurig und spüre ne kleine Leere in mir. Die nächsten Bücher werden jetzt erstmal übelst abstinken dagegen...
