Canadian produced Fido is a film that I've been keeping an eye on for a little while now and now that there's a poster out it seems as good a time as any to bring it up ... The zombie comedy is set in an alternate 1950's in which the world has been over run by zombies. But wait! Those clever scientists have come up with a zombie restrain collar that allows the beasts to be domesticated and used for household chores or even to be kept as pets! The concept is fantastic and with Carrie-Anne Moss, Henry Czerny, Billy Connolly and Tim Blake Nelson in it there's a fighting chance people might actually go see it. Lion's Gate has picked it up internationally, TVA has it here in Canada and word is that they're hoping to premiere it at a certain very large local film festival which means we're looking at a fall release date.Kleines Appetithäppchen!
