Thema: Kill Zombie! (Zombibi - Zomedy aus den Niederlanden)

There's a bit of a bait-and-switch happening in the full theatrical trailer for Martijn Smits and Erwin van den Eshof's upcoming Zombibi. Things kick off looking like a stereotypical race based comedy and then ... well, then a meteor strikes Amsterdam and all hell breaks loose. And the moment that the first kill comes - which is pretty early - it becomes obvious that these guys know exactly what they're doing.

The bizarre story takes place in Amsterdam-West, where a virus turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. Although much blood is flowing and many limbs chopped off, there is a lot to laugh at in this bizarre horror comedy.

Smits and van den Eshof have been kicking around the blossoming Dutch genre scene for a few years now, with a slate of internationally praised shorts between them and van den Eshof having won notice with his debut feature Dood Eind in 2006.

Wenns auch echt nichts mehr neues ist, der Trailer ist ganz witzig.

Ich hab ihn die Tage gesehen und bin ein bisschen enttäuscht.
Bewerten würde ich den knapp über Durchschnitt, der Streifen bietet mal so gar nichts originelles und wirklich witzig ist er selten. Dafür leider hier und da ziemlich dumm/albern. Die Synchro ist auch nicht so der Hammer. Für einmal ok, aber mehr auch nicht. Da finde ich sogar "Doghouse" deutlich besser und unterhaltsamer.
