“The first one is called NECROPOLIS, and it’s about kids breaking into an experimental mutation lab—skateboard punks with shotguns—and it’s like a living PlayStation game. It’s awesome; it has the same vibe as the first one. Part five is called RAVE FROM THE GRAVE, where these kids realize that if you take Trioxin in very small doses you can have a life-after-death experience. So it becomes like a big rave drug.”
Tobe Hooper was originally announced as director of the duo, and Butler adds, “I know he’s talking to them, and they’re also talking to Stuart Gordon, so it all depends on their schedules—who’s available and where they’re gonna film it. They’re talking about either shooting it outside the country or shooting it in LA, and that has a big effect on who’s gonna be the director. So I’m really stoked about that.”
